Why Safety Data Sheets are Important

All companies with a written hazard communication program must include Safety Data Sheets. These written or printed materials focus on hazardous chemicals that are prepared per all of the requirements found in paragraph G of OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS).

According to the top five sections cited under the HCS, Safety Data Sheets are the most common issue found on OSHA’s Top Ten Most Frequently Cited Violations.
